I created created Pumba Cyber Security to help small business without the resources of large enterprise to secure their business and information. The services and areas I cover will do exactly that.
Every single person reading this has done three things at minimum. They’ve logged into their computer/device with a password, connected to a Wi-Fi (or ethernet) network to access the internet, and opened their web browser to access this page. We do this over and over each day and multiple times throughout the day.
I’ve created an approach to secure these areas that your business’s employees do, at your place of business. If the three areas and actions I mentioned are done securely than your business is protected. However, a single employee that performs any of the above actions insecurely can and will put your entire business at risk.
My name is Tim. I’m the Owner and Founder of Pumba Cyber Security and an Offensive Security Certified Professional. I have extensive experience with hardware, software, and networks and got a masters degree in Information Systems.
I started my IT career as an Help Desk Support Intern at Johns Hopkins International. I worked for several other Help Desks again getting hands on experience in many different types of technology. It was a great way to get my feet wet and eventually work up to a Systems Administrator and Network Engineer.
My passion is Cyber Security and helping people learn and understand it. The depth of knowledge required to keep up with todays security threats is vast. Even as a Cyber Security Professional, who loves learning, it’s challenging to keep up with. For a non-expert, it’s nearly impossible.
My mission is to help small business protect their information. It’s that simple. The fact is that it’s possible to protect your data from advanced threats with basic and foundational tools and strategy. However, these tools and techniques must be implemented precisely and consistently.
Through employee training and the implementation of the tools and techniques I cover, we can secure your business from anyone looking to take what’s yours. Your data.
